Aakash Patel is a Republican politician and was a candidate for Hillsborough County Commission in District 1 during the 2018 election in Florida, USA. The Hillsborough County Commission is the governing body for Hillsborough County, which includes the city of Tampa and surrounding areas. The commission is responsible for overseeing a wide range of issues, including transportation, public safety, land use, and economic development.

Patel2018.com tells his childhood story and how he evolved to become a current candidate. The site offers a glimpse into where he stands on the major issues that he believes effects county residents.

The website is fully responsive for mobile and tablet viewing and offers a wide breadth of functionality such as credit card transactions for donor contributions as well as an event management system that provides online registration for campaign events.

The full-featured event management system is powered by a custom backend admin panel that provides a “green” and paperless event registration process. Attendees can register for events and purchase event tickets. The system generates digital as well as printable tickets for campaign events that contain unique barcodes for each event.

Event organizers can seamlessly check-in attendees using a custom-configured ticket scanning system that transforms Android and/or Apple devices into an onsite attendee management tool. This mobile app provides access-control to events by validating each printable ticket at the door using the built-in barcode scanning interface.

Design a dynamic and mobile responsive website to serve as the online portal for all campaign activities, facilitating online credit card contributions and an event management system capable of event ticketing, registration and check-in.
